color and bw FB ReadyThis is a Senior Portrait of a 2014 Union City Senior.  He wanted one where it looked like he was coming out of the blocks…  I took the shot a step further by adding a zoom blur to make it look like he was in hyper speed!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Beginning

The women’s hurdles had just finished with an amazing young lady from Athens winning.  Now the gun has gone off and the boys are leaving their blocks.  I cannot believe the adrenaline rush that I am experiencing let alone the runners!  I am moving, backing up trying not to trip over my own feet.  As my heart is racing, I get set and I start taking more pictures.  Here is what I captured…

I chose the first picture for the Weekly Photo Challenge: Beginning because being a sports photographer I have captured several beginnings of races, games, matches and competitions…  and I think this is my favorite beginnings to a race that I have photographed so far.  Char

Introducing 2014 Senior from Union City High School ~ Audrey

It was a delight to photograph Audrey’s Senior Portrait Session.  Audrey is an outgoing young lady who was recently a nominee for Homecoming Queen at Union City High School.  She enjoys Cross Country, Golf and playing her bass guitar in the Band.

We started out at Stuart’s Landing where we used the gazebo for some sport and band related pictures.  Then we stepped out side of the gazebo to capture Audrey with her favorite pair of running shoes.

Then we walked down to Perrin Dam.  There are some wonderful areas along the River Walkway in Marshall, Michigan that can be used for Portraits…  for example, this log that laid on a section of land just south of Perrin Damn.

Off to downtown Marshall where we took pictures along Jefferson Street utilizing the gorgeous red and brown brick walls with green doorways.

We even had Audrey’s family as lookouts for traffic while Audrey and I played in the street to capture these next shots.
